Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Långgatan is a group home within LSS with a focus on intellectual disabilities. All users live in their own apartment and share common areas such as the kitchen and living room. The facility also has a large outdoor courtyard that offers an opportunity for users to meet and participate in various joint activities. We are now looking for two support assistants with heart, commitment and desire to contribute to a safe and meaningful everyday life for our users! Your work tasks You work independently and together with colleagues and other professionals to strengthen the individual's ability to live an independent life based on their conditions. Your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. Common tasks include providing practical support to users with cleaning, laundry, cooking, personal hygiene/nursing, activities and handling medicines. You will work on planning, carrying out, documenting, following up and evaluating the various parts of the business in terms of quality, work environment and finances individually and together with others. You are also expected to create and maintain structure to reduce the risk of threats and violence that may occur in the unit. Heavy lifting may also be involved. - Working hours are day, evening, weekend and daytime - Co-planning may take place between other units within disability care About you We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse or who have other training that can be assessed as equivalent. You should also have experience of working in healthcare. It is an advantage if you have experience of working with the target group and if you have experience of low-effective treatment in situations of threat and violence. We also see it as positive if you have experience of using TAKK/AKK. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors around our users. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and to work with continuous improvements. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain any medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
