Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Uttervägen is a group home according to LSS with a focus on intellectual disabilities. The home is home to young active residents with a great interest in exercise. All users live in their own apartment and share common areas such as the kitchen and living room. Are you a person who has a flexible mind, likes physical activity and active working days? Your tasks As a support assistant, you support users in their everyday lives with granted services such as food, cleaning, laundry, personal care, transfers and planning of activities. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. You work to make the individual participate in their everyday life and have a meaningful leisure and/or employment. The work includes participating in the activities that our residents choose, which can mean the gym, home or forest. Documentation, record keeping, work with implementation plans and medication management are also included in the tasks. Sometimes there are animals, dogs, on Uttervägen so you should not be allergic to fur animals. Threats and violence may occur in the activities. The working hours are day, evening, weekend and daytime. Co-planning occurs between our activities in disability care. About you You have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors around our users. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and to work with continuous improvements. You have a solution-focused and flexible approach and enjoy creating and maintaining structure. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Requirements Nursing and care program, child and leisure program, social work program or another education that we consider equivalent Experience of working in the field of intellectual disabilities Meritorious Experience of dealing with people with disabilities Experience of behavioral support and clarifying pedagogy We would like you to attach your CV and cover letter.
