Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction.
Within special housing, there are group and service homes according to LSS for people with intellectual and/or mental disabilities.
Nydalavägen 6C is a group home under LSS with a focus on elderly psychiatry. The home is home to elderly users who need round-the-clock support and help in their everyday lives. All users live in their own apartments and share common areas such as the kitchen and living room. Our activities are characterized by an environment where you are met with respect and professionalism where everyone is given the opportunity to develop based on their individual conditions.
We now need to expand our team with a support educator!
Your tasks
Together with your colleagues, you support people with disabilities. You work to enable the individual to participate in a functional everyday life and to have a functional leisure time.

You guide staff in the user-related work and actively contribute to quality development, documentation and introduction of new colleagues. You work on behalf of your manager and the assignments can vary over time depending on the needs of the business/activities.
Nursing work is included in the work and may include, for example, personal hygiene, support at meals, cleaning and laundry, planning activities, accompanying doctors' visits, medication administration and documentation. There is some acting out behavior in the facility
Heavy lifting occurs where transfer aids are used. Smoking and furry animals are present in the workplace, so you should not be allergic.
The scheduled working hours are day, evening and weekend. In disability care, we work with co-planning with other activities.
