The overall aim of Byttgränd's short-term accommodation is to promote independence and quality of life for children and young people with autism and intellectual disabilities. By providing a safe, structured and developmental environment, conditions are created for the individual's participation, recreation and social interaction. The activities also aim to offer a relief function for relatives, which contributes to a sustainable and long-term support structure for both individuals and families. The short-term accommodation is located at Ersboda and is aimed at children and young people with disabilities based on decisions under LSS. The individual's needs and conditions are at the center and the stay should offer a safe, stimulating and developing environment. Near the activities there are playgrounds, forest areas and a library, which enables varied leisure activities and outdoor activities. To ensure high quality care, an individualized approach is applied where staff work based on evidence-based methods in autism and intellectual disabilities. The activities offer structured daily routines, communication support and adapted activities that promote independence and social interaction. We now need to expand our team with a new colleague! Your work tasks As an employee at Byttgränd's short-term accommodation, you are part of a working group that works to create a safe, meaningful and developing stay for children and young people. Together with your colleagues, you support the individual's ability to live as independent a life as possible and contribute to a stimulating and safe environment. You will actively participate in the daily lives of children and young people, providing support in daily routines such as meals, cleaning, laundry and personal care. You carry out activities such as play, crafts and games, as well as outdoor activities such as cycling, ball games and snow play to promote social participation and meaningful leisure time. An important part of the job is also to work with parents and ensure that each child receives the support they need. Threats and violence as well as heavy lifting occur in the workplace. The work also involves documenting, writing medical records, making implementation plans and managing medication. You are also responsible for administrative tasks, such as planning activities, booking children in based on granted interventions and developing staffing requirements that are used for scheduling in the team. Co-planning in the disability area children/young people occurs in the service. Working hours are day, evening, day nights and every other weekend About you As a person, you are confident, calm and committed. You have good cooperation skills and a professional approach to users, relatives and other stakeholders. You share the values of the organization and contribute to the development of the organization through continuous improvement. You have previously worked in environments where challenging behaviors can occur and have the ability to handle these situations in a professional manner. We attach great importance to personal suitability. To be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, and to write and read care documentation, you must have a good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish and a good knowledge of English. Requirements High school diploma Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities Meritorious Trained childcare worker, assistant nurse or other training that the employer considers equivalent Experience of working with children/adults with autism Experience of AAC/TAKK, positive behavioral support (PBS) and/or clarifying pedagogy Experience of low-effective treatment in challenging behavior as well as in threat and violence situations To ensure that the people invited to interview are those who best match what we are looking for, we use selection questions.
