Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Godemansvägen 40 is a group home according to LSS with a focus on people with intellectual disabilities. Six residents live here in their own apartments, with access to common areas such as the kitchen and living room for socializing and fellowship. We are now looking for a new colleague for our business! Your work tasks As a support staff, you will support the users in their everyday lives with granted efforts such as food, cleaning, laundry, personal care, transfers and planning and participation in activities. Your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the users' own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. You work to make the individual participate in their everyday life and have a meaningful leisure and/or employment. The work also includes documentation, record keeping, work with implementation plans and medicine management. Heavy lifting and situations of threat and violence may occur in the workplace. The working hours are scheduled day, evening, on-call (sleeping night) and weekend. Co-planning with other activities may occur. About you As a person, you have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors around our users. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and with continuous improvements. We attach great importance to personal suitability. Requirements High school diploma or a health and social care education Experience of working in LSS Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, to take part in care documentation and obtain medication authorization Meritorious Trained assistant nurse, care assistant, social worker or other educational training that the employer considers relevant Experience of clarifying pedagogy, visual aids and/or TAKK Experience of cooking Experience of documentation and implementation plans Swimming proficiency Other information To ensure that the people invited to interview are those who best match what we are looking for, we use selection questions.
