Your tasks
The new business is a comprehensive solution where both short-term accommodation and short-term supervision (leisure) are run by the same staff group. You and your colleagues will work closely with a child in a home-like environment. The child's disability means that you meet a complex behavioral profile, which can involve challenging situations and places high demands on professional treatment, patience and relationship building. Working hours are day, evening, night and weekend.
Your mission will involve:
supporting the child in everyday life and strengthening the child's ability to be independent
creating a safe, predictable and stimulating environment
planning and implementing individually adapted activities such as play, crafts, games and walks
work on structure and diversion to prevent and manage situations that might otherwise lead to outbursts
work closely with parents and networks around the child to ensure holistic support
carry out household chores and personal care/intimate hygiene when needed
documenting, keeping records, drawing up implementation plans and managing medication
About you
As a person, you are confident, calm and committed. You have good cooperation skills and a professional approach to users, relatives and other stakeholders. You share the values of the organization and contribute to the development of the organization through continuous improvement. You have previously worked in environments where challenging behaviors can occur and have the ability to handle these situations in a professional manner. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
To be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, and to write and read care documentation, you must have a good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish and a good knowledge of English.
Requirements
High school diploma
Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities
Experience in low-threshold approach to challenging behavior as well as to situations of threat and violence
Meritorious
Trained childcare worker, assistant nurse or other training that the employer considers equivalent
Experience of working with children/adults with autism
Experience of AAC/TAKK, Positive Behavior Support (PBS) and/or clarifying pedagogy
