Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Within special housing, there are group and service homes according to LSS for people with intellectual and/or mental disabilities. Herrgårdsvägen 7 is a special housing with six users who have different types of disabilities and varying degrees of independence. Each user lives in their own fully equipped apartment with access to a shared kitchen and living room. The business has a strong focus on promoting the individual's independence, which is something that permeates all work tasks. We are now looking for more support staff! Your tasks You will provide everyday support to people with mental and/or intellectual disabilities. Your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. You offer individually tailored support - both social and practical - based on each individual's needs. Through a methodical, long-term and goal-oriented approach, you help to strengthen the user's abilities, participation and influence. Together with the users, you create a safe home environment and a meaningful everyday life. The work tasks also include various types of administration such as planning support, documentation, record keeping and drawing up implementation plans. Follow-up and evaluation of the work will be a natural part of the business. We place high demands on the ability to establish and maintain agreed structures in the activities. The tasks may also include personal care, some intimate hygiene and handling of medicines. Collaboration takes place between different activities within the special care homes for the disabled. Working hours are day/evening/weekend and day-night (sleeping night). About you You have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other stakeholders. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and to work with continuous improvements. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. As our operations are characterized by a wide range of activities, it is important that you have good initiative and can make independent decisions. We want you to be able to actively participate in physically demanding activities, such as exercise and swimming, in line with the needs of the business. Requirements: Successful completion of upper secondary education, preferably from the health and care program or children and leisure Ability to swim Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and read care documentation and obtain medication authorization Meritorious: Trained assistant nurse Experience of working with intellectual disabilities in LSS activities Experience with the business system Treserva Medication authorization Other: To ensure that the people invited to interview are those who best match what we are looking for, we use selection questions.
