We are now looking for a support educator for our teams on Långgatan and Klossmyrvägen. Is this you? Your work tasks As a support educator, you will both carry out practical interventions with the residents and guide colleagues in educational methods, which are proven and advocated by the National Board of Health and Welfare. You work with continuous improvements in the quality perspective regarding pedagogical methods and communication, documentation and introduction of new colleagues in the business / activities. You work on behalf of your manager and the assignments may vary over time depending on the needs of the activities. As a support educator, you are part of a network with other support educators where we offer continuous collegial support and skills development. Smoking, heavy lifting, threats and violence and furry animals may occur. Scheduled working hours: day, evening, weekend, day night. About you You are confident, have a good attitude and want to make a difference for the target group. As a support educator, it is important to have good pedagogical skills, be solution-focused and collaborate with all the roles you meet in your everyday life. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, and to obtain medication, you must have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Requirements: - Post-secondary education in the form of at least 200YH credits, support educator or other equivalent YH education. Alternatively 60 HP relevant courses towards disability care. Programs and/or courses with a clear focus on work with intellectual, cognitive and mental disabilities. For example: Ethical approaches. Pedagogical theories and methods. Alternative and augmentative communication cognitive support Coaching approach. You have a few years of experience working with people with disabilities or other work experience that we consider equivalent. Merit: Experience of the methods, Clarifying pedagogy, low-effective treatment and alternative and complementary communication, (AAC).
