The Real Estate Department is responsible for ensuring that Umeå Municipality’s facilities function properly for those who use them—including children in schools, seniors in care facilities, and employees at their workplaces. As a technical administrator in the operations management team, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day management of our properties. You’ll create structure, follow up on issues, and ensure that the right information is in the right place. It’s a varied role for someone who enjoys administration, technology, and interacting with many different professional groups within the industry.

We’re now looking for a Technical Administrator to join our operations management team. Here, you’ll be part of Fastighets’ day-to-day operations and contribute to planning, operational measures, inspections, and follow-ups.

What You’ll Get with Us

With us, you’ll have an important and varied role where your contributions make a difference in day-to-day operations. You’ll be part of a team that collaborates, helps one another, and shares knowledge, while you and your colleagues will be responsible for the administration of your own district. We prioritize a positive work environment, professional conduct, and excellent service. The role also offers you the opportunity to grow and learn more about both property management and our business systems.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

You’ll handle administrative tasks that support the operations management team’s work. This includes, among other things, recording inspection reports, following up on and handling cases, managing trouble tickets, and providing support for our business systems. When needed, you’ll also train internal and external users on the systems. You’ll be in regular contact with colleagues with various professional skills and will work in multiple business systems as well as in Microsoft 365.

What We’re Looking for in You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A high school diploma in technology, natural sciences, or another high school program that we deem equivalent.
  • Experience with administrative work, strong computer skills, and confidence in working with and planning across multiple business systems as well as Office 365.
  • A Class B driver’s license.
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written Swedish.

Experience in the real estate industry is a plus.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to be meticulous, organized, and solution-oriented. You can coordinate and prioritize your work even when multiple tasks need to be handled simultaneously. Since you’ll have many contacts both within and outside the organization, you’ll also need to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner. We place great emphasis on personal fit.

Does this sound like the right job for you? We look forward to receiving your application!
