Training Development Manager, HR Unit for Elderly Care Type of Employment Full-time
Job position Organizational developer
Work model On location
Application due date 23 June 2025
Are you the one? Elderly care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction.
The HR unit is organized in teams consisting of different competencies where we work strategically and operationally to provide support to managers. We provide advice and support in: Employer policy issues, labor law and negotiations, staffing development, skills supply and training coordination. Salary formation and salary review, systematic work environment management and rehabilitation, redeployment and personnel planning, and internship placement. The HR unit's tasks include initiating development and improvement work and carrying out training initiatives in order for the business to achieve a long-term sustainable work environment.
We are facing major skills supply challenges in elderly care, both as a result of demographic developments and the low unemployment rate in Umeå.
This means that many of the employees who come to our operations do not always have the knowledge and skills required to independently perform the important work with the quality we strive for.
We have now been given the opportunity to start building a training organization in elderly care. The aim is to meet these challenges by working more long-term and structured with skills development - and thereby take important steps towards becoming a learning organization.
Your tasks
As a development manager, you play a central role in shaping a learning organization in elderly care. You work strategically and operationally to promote knowledge exchange, skills development and methodological support in close collaboration with managers, employees and external stakeholders.
You have overall responsibility for coordinating and structuring the administration's training initiatives, so that they are based on the needs of the business and contribute to high quality in the daily work. By identifying development areas, initiating initiatives and following up results, you help to create long-term conditions for a sustainable supply of skills.
About you
We are looking for you who have a relevant academic education as a personnel scientist, nurse or other equivalent background. You have good knowledge of the conditions and challenges of elderly care, and understand its complexity from several perspectives - such as legislation, user and family needs, and quality and development work.
We would like you to have experience of working in a politically controlled organization, where an understanding of decision-making processes, clear communication and good collaboration are crucial to achieving results.
You also have experience of leading and coordinating projects, where you have been responsible for planning, following up and allocating resources based on given goals and timeframes. You work in a structured way, are used to driving development work and thrive in a role with many interfaces.
As a person, you are analytical, self-driven and confident in your skills. You find it easy to build trusting relationships and are both responsive and clear in your communication. You enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with others - and have a strong commitment to creating value for both operations and users. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
