Umeåregionens brandförsvar works with accident prevention and rescue services in the municipalities of Umeå, Vindeln and Robertsfors. The fire brigade has a full-time station in central Umeå with about 80 employees and nine RiB stations with about 150 firefighters on standby and two fire brigades. Together with 16 other municipalities in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, we are part of the joint rescue management system Räddningssamverkan Nord. We are currently in an exciting development phase where we are building another full-time station in Umeå and expanding our workforce in the coming years. Your tasks You will mainly work with preventive tasks such as supervision under the Act on Protection against Accidents and respond to referrals and other issues related to rescue services, structural fire protection, community planning and risk management. You will also be able to work on various development projects based on the needs of the business, such as creating structures for response planning or working on the investigation and evaluation of accidents and operations. Depending on your skills, background and personality, there may also be the opportunity to eventually be included as an officer in our emergency operations. About you We are looking for you who are service-oriented and enjoy meeting other people. In your work you are professional, thorough and structured. We also believe that you have a great commitment and drive and with a desire to develop and improve our business. We are looking for you who have a fire engineer's degree and we look positively if you have studied the RUB year or worked in municipal rescue services. Personal suitability will be highly valued. You have very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Driving license, qualification at least B is required.
