Umeåregionens brandförsvar works with accident prevention and rescue services in the municipalities of Umeå, Vindeln and Robertsfors. The fire brigade has a full-time station in central Umeå with about 90 employees and nine RiB stations with about 150 firefighters on standby as well as two fire brigades. We are currently in an exciting development phase where we hope to be able to be a clearer player in society, not only in terms of rescue operations and fire prevention but also to work to create security in other ways. We are therefore looking for you who are interested in being part of this development work during the summer of 2026! Your tasks You will mainly work with the fire department's activities focusing on children and young people in Umeå municipality. During the summer of 2026, the focus will be on activities at Umeå Summer Zone during weeks 25 & 26 and 31 & 32. About you We are looking for you who thrive in the meeting with other people and want to be part of creating added value for children and young people in Umeå municipality. To be eligible to apply for the summer job, you have completed the course MBU - People behind the uniform in Umeå municipality. We are happy if you are an MBU ambassador but it is not a requirement. You need to have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing and a valid extract from the criminal record. Employment information The summer job is temporary with a duration of approximately 1 month and 5 hours per day. Access and duration of the summer job is by agreement.
