Umeåregionens brandförsvar works with accident prevention and rescue services in the municipalities of Umeå, Vindeln and Robertsfors. The fire brigade has a full-time station in central Umeå with about 90 employees and nine RiB stations with about 150 firefighters on standby and two fire brigades. Together with 16 other municipalities in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, we are part of the joint rescue management system Räddningssamverkan Nord. We are currently in an exciting development phase where we are building another full-time station in Umeå and expanding our workforce in the coming years. In connection with this expansion, we are also conducting a major review of our organization in order to create the best conditions for conducting our business now and in the future. We are now looking for you, a future fire engineer, who wants to contribute to our operations for a period of time in the summer and also try out the work in one of Sweden's most expansive fire departments. In addition to interesting tasks, you will also be part of an organization with high ambitions and a strong community. Together, we fulfill a crucial societal function and create a safer future for our residents. Your tasks You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for a small project on your own, as well as working on other limited tasks aimed at developing our activities. This may involve, for example, developing steering documents or taking stock of the conditions for sub-missions in both prevention and rescue services. About you We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and enjoys meeting other people. In your work you are professional, thorough and structured. You are undergoing or have recently completed fire engineer training. We look positively on if you undergo the RUB year but it is not a requirement but personal suitability will be highly valued. You have very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Driving license, qualification at least B is required.
