Within the Unit for Prevention, eight day care centers spread across Umeå municipality are gathered with a total of 21 employees. The unit also includes the Fee Unit, where six employees are responsible for decisions on fees for people with interventions according to SoL.

The day care centers are in a transition and development phase where the preventive approach is at the center. The activities are aimed at people with dementia who need preventive and person-centered efforts - with a focus on physical activity, meaningful everyday life, diet and social interaction. Efforts for relief to relatives are also included in the assignment.

Now we are looking for a unit manager who wants to lead and further develop the business together with committed employees.

Your duties

As a unit manager, you have an overall responsibility for staff, work environment, finances, quality and business development. You lead the business through trust, clarity and commitment, and create good conditions for both employees and users.

Your tasks are mainly to;

• clarify direction, create commitment and lead the business towards common goals,
• communicate values, goals and expected results and provide feedback on work done,
• create and maintain a safe, sustainable and developing work environment,
• responsible for staff planning, budget and business development,
• ensure efficient and responsible use of the business's resources.

You are part of the head of operations' management team and work closely with internal and external actors to strengthen the whole around our users.

About you

We are looking for you who have a social worker education and experience of working as a manager. Experience of rehabilitative approaches and the exercise of authority is meritorious, as is experience of elderly care.

Your leadership is characterized by trust, clarity and courage. You are goal-oriented while being unpretentious and keen to develop collaboration with the parties that exist for our users. You are structured and work systematically with continuous improvement. You have a coaching approach towards your employees and enthusiastically encourage them to achieve expected results together with you - all with the users' best interests in focus.
