We operate swimming, sports and leisure facilities, leisure centers and activities for young people and people with disabilities. We offer Umeå's residents swimming experiences, wellness and are responsible for swimming lessons for primary school students.
We are now looking for an experienced and confident unit manager who wants to lead our swimming facilities Storsjöhallen, Sävar simhall, Vallabadet and Obbolabadet. Storsjöhallen is one of our larger facilities with both catering, wellness, gym and a swimming pool with adventure section. We are in the same building as the school, leisure center, sports hall and library, so there are many areas of cooperation. Sävar swimming hall and Vallabadet are smaller but very appreciated family bathing houses in Sävar and Hörnefors. We have about 20 employees and in the summer we open up the temperate outdoor pools in Obbola and Hörnefors and some of the staff are distributed there.

Your tasks
As a unit manager, you lead the work at Storsjöhallen, Sävar swimming hall, Vallabadet and Obbolabadet. You are responsible for operations, finances, quality and work environment and lead about 20 employees who work in swimming, swimming lessons, reception, restaurant, wellness and operations. For us, it is important that you are a present leader who prioritizes being on site at our facilities.
The role involves a lot of collaboration and dialog with various stakeholders and actors both externally and internally, which is why it is important that you have good collaboration skills, are humble and communicative. We want to constantly develop the business, and right now the focus is on efficient, clear processes, organizational and quality issues and work environment.
You will be an important part of the management team for Fritid bad where we develop our activities together and you report to the head of operations for Fritid Bad.

About you
We are looking for you with a relevant university education, perhaps with a focus on behavioral science/HR, service, wellness or technology. If you have additional managerial or leadership training, this is positive.
The position requires several years of experience as a manager with responsibility for personnel, work environment, operations and finance. Experience in the bathing industry, sports facilities/facility operations, catering/food hygiene and/or wellness is an advantage but not a requirement.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and that you have experience of leading change work with good results for both employees and the business. If you have worked in both the private and public sectors, this is an advantage.
