In the field of personal assistance, there are currently 350 employees who provide personalized assistance on a daily basis, which must be characterized by high quality, work with continuous improvements and thus make a difference in people's lives according to the intentions of the LSS Act. The personal assistance will provide increased opportunities for 70 users throughout the municipality, including Holmsund, Sävar and Hörnefors to live an independent life based on their conditions.
We are now looking for a committed and courageous unit manager for personal assistance. Are you the person we are looking for?
Your work tasks
As a unit manager with us, you are part of a group of 15 managerial colleagues and you are responsible for operations, users, staff and finances. Your main task is to ensure that we conduct our operations with high quality where our employees provide the best support to our users. The work is carried out in the user's home, which means that you must be able to be a present manager at a distance. The managerial assignment with us is developing and flexible, you get to work with both quality and personnel issues and you have the opportunity to influence developments in the field of activity.
Your duties may include, for example:
systematically monitoring the achievement of quality, work environment and financial targets
ensuring that agreed activities are implemented
providing guidance and feedback to staff to help them develop their care work
Communicating values and encouraging dialog, cooperation and learning.
There are, of course, times when the role of unit manager is challenging. One such challenge may be the current labor shortage, and you will have to do some work on staff planning, staffing and recruitment.
To support you in your work, you have your unit manager colleagues, you are part of a team where you have a dialog and collaborate on common issues. You will report to the deputy head of operations who will follow up and support you in your assignment. There are also support functions in administration, finance and HR.
About you
We are looking for you who have a university education, preferably a social worker or personnel scientist, or other relevant education. You have previous experience as a manager and we would like you to have experience from the field of personal assistance or experience from health and care.
As a unit manager, you will often work at a fast pace and you will be involved in conditions that can change quickly. To thrive in the assignment, you must therefore appreciate being challenged and be solution-focused as a person. You are clear in your leadership role and you work purposefully and systematically with continuous improvements. You are also unpretentious and able to prioritize in pressured situations.
