Would you like to lead the way in ensuring the future workforce for elder care?
Elder care in the Municipality of Umeå continues to develop and grow. As a key part of our efforts to meet future workforce challenges, we are now expanding our staffing pool with permanent employees who work in both home care and nursing homes.
We are now seeking another unit manager who wants to help shape, develop, and lead this operation. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives on change, wants to build long-term structures, and sees the value in creating an operation where both employees and clients have the best possible conditions.
The staffing pool is designed to provide stable staffing, a high level of expertise, and good continuity for elder care operations. At the same time, we aim to be an attractive employer that offers rewarding and long-term employment opportunities for our employees.
You’ll be an important part of this work!
About the Organization
Umeå Municipality’s elder care services include both in-home care and 16 nursing and care homes. Our facilities are located both in central Umeå and in the municipality’s outlying areas. What unites us is our person-centered approach, with a focus on participation, self-determination, and quality of daily life.
The pool operation is organized geographically and consists of several teams that support both home care and nursing and care homes. The operation is in an exciting phase of development, where new employees and new ways of working will gradually be introduced as we are in the early stages of developing a long-term pool.
As a unit manager, you will therefore not only lead day-to-day operations but also contribute to the unit’s continued development and strategic direction.
You will work closely with a fellow unit manager and report to the Director of the Elderly Care Recruitment Center and Staff Pool Operations, and you will be organizationally affiliated with HR.
