Umeå municipality's home care service is Umeå's largest provider with the longest experience of personal care and service. The municipality's home care service provides various forms of support, service and care at home. We are the unit that handles all care services where our home care recipients live in their own homes in Umeå municipality. Work tasks We are now looking for a unit manager who, in addition to his own area of responsibility, will also have a coaching assignment where you will support other unit managers. This can mean, among other things, that you support your colleagues in matters relating to staffing, quality and development, and that you are a sounding board in complex cases. The role as unit manager includes responsibility for operations, home care recipients, staff and finances. Your main task is to ensure that we run high-quality operations where our employees provide the best support to our home care service users. The tasks of a unit manager include working with: providing staff with guidance and feedback to enable nursing work to develop communicating values, encouraging dialog and cooperation systematic work environment management rehabilitation and adaptation implementation of new ways of working, such as the introduction of new digital technologies workforce planning, staffing and recruitment Of course, there are times when the head of unit assignment is challenging, and as support in your work you have, among other things, your head of unit colleagues where you have a dialog and collaborate on common issues. You will report to the Deputy Head of Operations who will follow up and support you in your assignment. There are also support functions in administration, finance and HR. Who are you? We are looking for you who have: Higher education, perhaps as a social worker or you have other higher education that provides knowledge in relevant legislation, behavioral science and the field of leadership Previous experience as a manager It is an advantage if you have: Experience in elderly care Experience from home care Managerial or leadership training or completed internal trainee program for future leaders.
