Umevux is Umeå Municipality's largest adult education provider. We offer flexible and individualized learning at basic and upper secondary level. The basic education in health and social care, with about 250 students, provides a basic competence for work in health and social care and in health care. Teaching is individualized and offered in various forms of study, teacher-supervised studies and distance learning. Information technology is a foundation for learning in upper secondary and adult education and a natural part of everyday life. The health and care education is part of the Umeå region's Health and Care College, an established form of collaboration that aims to develop education and activities in health and care. We are now looking for a vocational teacher for health and social care education! Your tasks In adult education, things never stand still. We have continuous enrollment and a flexible approach to learning. You will teach students subjects within the framework of health and social care education. The work involves planning and implementing teaching based on national policy documents and goals as well as scientific basis and proven experience. We work actively to design and develop our courses in close collaboration with the industry. As a teacher, you work on the basis of flexible and individualized learning. About you We are primarily looking for you who are a trained and licensed care teacher or you who have extensive experience in health and care with the plan to study or are currently studying to become a vocational teacher. You have good knowledge and skills in IT and see digital learning as an important means for students' knowledge acquisition. Experience of teaching in adult education is an advantage. You have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing and a B driving license. You have a strong commitment and interest in working with people from different cultural backgrounds, being able to individualize your teaching and being creative. To succeed in the role, you are clear and good at creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues and our external partners. You have a flexible approach to work with the ability to change focus quickly if required. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
