Forslundagymnasiet is located in a beautiful rural setting only 5 km from Umeå city center. The upper secondary school has about 130 students, adapted upper secondary school about 30 students and adult education in gardening, land and plant with about 80 students. The school has its own modern farm, with around 60 dairy cows, calves and a sheep herd. For plant cultivation there are 170 ha of arable land where everything today is produced organically. The milk that Forslunda supplies to Norrmejerier is organic. The school also has a horse stable, dog training hall and an animal house with around 100 different species of small animals. The school also has a dormitory. We are looking for a professional teacher for property and construction at our adapted upper secondary school, Forslundagymnasiet. Forslundagymnasiet's adapted upper secondary school offers two specializations: Real Estate and Construction (FB) and Forest, Land and Animals (SMD). The programs are four years and combine theoretical and practical elements in roughly equal parts, where students develop through practical and real-life learning. An important part of the education is work-based learning (WBL), where students participate for a minimum of four weeks per semester, totaling at least 22 weeks of valuable work experience. Courses and curricula are flexibly designed to allow each student to reach the highest possible level of personal development. The school also offers rich opportunities for practical work through access to agricultural activities, animal stables and specially adapted environments such as horse stables, dog halls and small animal houses - a 'real-life' learning environment where students can grow in both knowledge and confidence. Your tasks As a vocational teacher with us, you work with teaching, class responsibility and responsibility for planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching. An important part of your job is mentoring and working with your colleagues to design a good, enjoyable and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. We place great emphasis on relational work. The assignment as a vocational teacher with us also includes some APL responsibility, where you help to find APL places for our young people and visit the APL places. About you We are looking for you who have a few years of experience and good knowledge in real estate or construction, alternatively in wood and metal crafts. We would like to see that you are a trained teacher in, for example, construction, wood and metal crafts, but it is not a requirement. We also look positively if you have special educational skills, experience of adapted school forms and / or experience of low-effective treatment. We are looking for you who want to support and motivate our students in both their academic and personal development.
