Would you like to help ensure safety and legal certainty for our citizens? As a coordinator with us, you’ll play a key role in preventing and stopping welfare fraud. About the Role

As a coordinator, you’ll play a key role in preventing, detecting, and addressing irregularities within the welfare systems. You will drive development, collaborate with government agencies, and help create security and legal certainty for our citizens.

Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the municipality’s efforts to combat welfare fraud and ensure consistent procedures.
  • Conduct risk analyses and develop internal control plans.
  • Investigate suspected irregularities and document cases.
  • Build and maintain collaboration networks with both internal and external partners, such as the Police, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Tax Agency, and other stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for documenting the deviations and submitting the reports required in the event of any detected irregularities.
  • Train and support operations on issues related to welfare fraud and risk management.
  • Participate in the development of policy documents and action plans.
  • Inform, introduce, train, and provide guidance within the operations.
  • Monitor new legislation related to the assignment and translate it into procedures and work methods.

About You

We are looking for someone who is analytical and organized, with well-developed problem-solving skills. You possess strong communication and teaching skills, enabling you to foster understanding, engagement, and participation within the organization. You thrive in environments where collaboration is central and find it easy to build networks and drive partnerships forward in a way that builds trust.

Furthermore, you possess a high degree of integrity and sound judgment, and you act with confidence and composure even in high-pressure or critical situations. You take a holistic approach to your work and take clear responsibility for contributing to the development of the entire organization, with a particular focus on preventing and combating welfare fraud. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements

  • Relevant college degree, such as in social work or economics.
  • Experience with investigative work in the public sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Social Services Act, LOV/LOU, and confidentiality legislation.
  • Experience and/or ability to analyze financial flows and identify risks.
  • Digital proficiency and experience working with case management systems.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Swedish, as well as a good command of English.
