Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB, SKB, is working on one of Sweden's largest environmental protection projects. SKB's mission is to take care of all radioactive waste from the Swedish nuclear power plants. This must be done safely for both people and the environment.

Today, around 500 people are employed at SKB. We have extensive collaboration with experts and contractors outside the company.

SKB's head office is located in Arenastaden in Solna. We also have offices in Oskarshamn and Forsmark, where we have facilities and conduct various activities for the construction of a final repository for spent nuclear fuel.

About the role

Together, we at SKB will build one of the world's first final repository systems for spent nuclear fuel. The assignment is largely pioneering work and involves many complex challenges.


At SKB, major projects and modernizations are underway and planned, where the assembly and testing activities and you are important for success.


Now we are looking for both assembly leaders and test leaders for the Clab interim storage facility in Oskarshamn.

Here you will work

The central interim storage facility for spent nuclear fuel, Clab, is located three miles north of Oskarshamn. The main task of the facility is to handle and store spent nuclear fuel from the Swedish nuclear power plants while waiting for the final repository to be built and commissioned.


You will work with colleagues in a new unit for assembly and testing. This will give you the opportunity to help build and develop the unit together with colleagues in electrical, mechanical and construction.

What you will do

As Assembly Manager, you will have overall responsibility for assembly in large projects and in connection with the modernization of existing plant. You will be an expert in various project teams together with colleagues from other disciplines. Depending on your background and experience, you will either work as an electrical or mechanical installation supervisor. The tasks include, for example:

  • Coordinate assembly activities between operations, projects and suppliers
  • Manage, lead and follow up assembly activities
  • Develop work instructions, assembly plans, assembly checks, work preparations and permits etc
  • Acquire resources and plan for implementation of assembly activities
  • Support project activities in procurement

As a Test Manager you will have the overall responsibility for testing/commissioning in large projects and in connection with modernization of existing plant. You will be an expert in various project teams together with colleagues from other disciplines. Tasks include, for example:

  • Coordinate testing activities between operations, projects and suppliers
  • Manage, lead and follow up testing activities
  • Develop work instructions, test plans, controls, work preparations and permits etc
  • Acquire resources and plan for the implementation of testing activities
  • Support project activities in procurement

As an assembly leader or test leader in a nuclear operation, there is a need for various documents, so you thrive on administrative work.

Requirements

We are looking for you who have an upper secondary or higher education with a focus on electricity or mechanics or equivalent experience. It is advantageous if you have experience of assembly or testing, for example as an installer or as a leading fitter.


As a person, you are unpretentious and create results together with others. You find it easy to communicate objectives, create an open dialog, build networks and create good relationships internally and externally.


We are looking for you who are skilled at solving problems, individually and together with others. You are a person who likes to take responsibility and thrives in a leadership position. You also have a good ability to plan and organize your work, and are easy to see things from a holistic perspective.


The role involves a lot of dialogue and collaboration, so good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish is a prerequisite for success in the service.


Driving license B is a requirement.
