We are now looking for a chemical engineer for the chemical unit at Ringhals. The unit is responsible for monitoring and following up the chemistry in our process systems, including wet chemical analyzes and radioactivity measurements. We work closely with the central control room and other units to optimize the plant and ensure that we have a safe and stable production.

About the job

We offer a varied job where you get the chance to learn a lot about different sampling, instruments and maintenance. The work is done both independently but also in groups. The chemistry unit can also offer great opportunities for development and deepening in the field of chemistry.

In the role of chemical engineer, you work in a team with other engineers and work, among other things, with:

  • taking samples, sample preparation and analyzing water and gas from various process systems.
  • performing short-term trend interpretation and deviation management of analytical data.
  • performing maintenance and calibration of chemical equipment in the laboratories and in the plants.
  • participate in the planning and implementation of commissioning, method development and validation of analytical instruments
  • update the required documentation within the respective area of responsibility etc

The laboratory has a large instrument park and a selection of analytical instruments are XRF, GC, Gamma spectrometry, titration, ion chromatography and a number of online instruments.

The position is a temporary position until mid-May 2026.

Requirement specification

We believe that you who apply have

  • a recently completed university education with a focus on chemistry or other equivalent education with a focus on chemistry.
  • very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written
  • previous work experience from a similar role is merited

As a person, you are good at collaborating and have a structured way of working. You also need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. Our business places high demands on accuracy, so quality awareness is important in the role. You should also enjoy working in the operational chemistry business.
