In Sweden, Vattenfall Värme delivers district heating, district cooling and steam to industries, property owners and residential customers in fifteen municipalities. We supply sustainable heating to around 200,000 Swedish households and heating, cooling and steam to industrial customers. About the role


Do you want to have a great opportunity to influence our digitization journey and work with us towards a fossil-free future? Now we are looking for you who have a great commitment to digitize and develop the business together with us in the role of Compliance Officer and DPC - Vattenfall Värme.

In your role, you will be part of the Operational Excellence department, which consists of experts in business development, digitization and compliance. We collaborate closely with our operational line organizations as well as the Executive Team and several other functions across Vattenfall.

You will support the business in securing internal and external compliance and ensure that data protection legislation for Värme Sverige is followed (data protection compliance also includes subsidiaries). By identifying and managing compliance risks, you contribute to minimizing legal and financial risks for the company. In addition, you promote a culture of correctness and ethical behavior, helping to build trust both internally and externally.

Your tasks include:

  • Driving and developing compliance work within Värme Sverige.
  • Develop processes and structures for effective risk management, control and reporting
  • Drive training and communication efforts in compliance and data protection
  • Follow up and monitor new regulations and contribute to risk analyzes and preventive measures
  • Drive improvement work with a focus on digital solutions to simplify and streamline compliance processes
  • Ensure compliance with EU:s data protection regulation GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) regarding personal data management within Vattenfall Värme Sverige and subsidiaries

Requirements


We are looking for you who have:

  • A law degree or equivalent relevant education from college or university
  • Some years of work experience in law or GDPR and work with compliance issues or related areas such as risk management and internal auditing
  • Experience in ensuring that data and information is handled in accordance with applicable legislation
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience from the energy industry
  • Experience in Information Security work, project management, training
  • Experience in establishing or developing structures for compliance work
  • Experience in ePrivacy Regulation
  • Knowledge in systems for reporting and monitoring, risk management and document management

As a person, you have the ability to act as the spider in the web by coordinating, analyzing and sorting input from several different stakeholders. You are decisive, able to create structure in complex contexts and can quickly switch between details and a holistic perspective. You communicate clearly and appropriately to different audiences, and have a natural ability to engage and build trust - while standing firmly in the regulations and daring to make decisions.
