About the role

Do you want to work as a connection engineer with us at VB Elnät and contribute to a fossil-free future?

Investing, expanding and maintaining the electricity grid is part of our everyday life. The electricity network is monitored around the clock via our operations center in Ludvika. We are also responsible for measuring how much electricity our customers use. Within Västerbergslagens Elnät, we are currently 28 employees who together accelerate our digital transformation, test and implement new technology that contributes to increased delivery reliability and delivery quality for our customers. We are in a growth phase to meet our customers' needs and contribute to the energy transition and we are now looking for a Connection Engineer. Do you want to be part of our journey?

Your responsibilities

As a Connection Engineer with us, you have an important role in ensuring a smooth process from customer inquiry to closure. You will play a key role in the customer experience and work closely with colleagues, installers and contractors on connection issues. You will

• At the customer's request, quote, plan and design electricity network connections and rebuilds
• Perform electricity network calculations and calculations and develop technical solution proposals.
• Order the execution of the contractor, review preparations, follow up and report project finances.
• Responsible for and coordinate contact with customers, installers and contractors.
• Work independently but in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders in connection matters.
• Continuously ensure that we always follow the latest updated laws, regulations, regulations, standards, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Requirements specification

• High school education in electricity or with a technical focus.
• Work experience from the electric power industry or as an electrician/industrial electrician is an advantage. Preferably in high and medium voltage.
• Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing is required.
• Good computer and system experience is a requirement as a large part of the work is done in various IT systems.
• More desirable with a degree as either a civil engineer, university engineer or a YH degree with a focus on electrical power / energy technology.
