UL operates Forsmark with buses that have a wireless network on the Gävle-Forsmark and Uppsala-Forsmark routes, which gives you the opportunity to use travel time as working time if/when work allows. Buses to and from Forsmark are adapted to the working hours of daytime staff. You also have the opportunity to use our remote workplaces in Gävle and Uppsala or work from home if/when work allows.

We are now looking for a confident and committed Group Manager for control equipment who wants to take responsibility for both people and technology in a business of great importance.

About us

The unit consists of 5 groups with just over 50 employees. The unit is responsible for the maintenance of instrumentation and control equipment at Forsmark, including alarms, telecommunications, cameras and access systems. Calibration of measurement standards for pressure quantities and thermal and electrical quantities. We also perform service and repair of electronic products.

About the job

As Group Manager for control equipment, you will have personnel responsibility for 12 employees. The group is newly formed since January and consists of experienced and competent employees. Your task will be to continue to build the group - create clarity, promote cooperation and support each individual in their development. You lead with a coaching approach and contribute to creating an inclusive and sustainable work environment.

You are part of the management team and work closely with other managers and functions within the business.

Your main responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the team both operationally and strategically
  • Create good conditions for cooperation, well-being and efficiency
  • Support employees in their development and contribute to a positive work culture
  • Ensure that the team's work is of high technical quality and complies with applicable requirements
  • Contribute to the development of the business through management team work
  • Responsible for resource planning, skills development and recruitment as needed
  • Follow up on goals, results and work environment

Requirements specification

About you

We are looking for you who are a calm and stable leader with good ability to create security and direction. You preferably have previous experience as a manager or leader, and are used to driving development in technical environments.

You have a technical background, preferably in instrumentation or electricity, and understand the complexity of working with control equipment. You are communicative, structured and have a genuine interest in both people and technology.

Qualifications

  • Experience in leadership, preferably as a manager with personnel responsibility
  • Technical education, for example in instrumentation, electricity or automation
  • Experience from industrial operations
  • Good collaboration skills and used to working in cross-functional contexts
  • Experience from working with control equipment is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
