Your role as Control Plant Engineer

As a Control Plant Engineer, you will work at customers' electrical power stations with the following tasks, among others:

  • Commissioning, configuration and testing of control equipment
  • Replacement of equipment for fault rectification or minor renewals
  • Troubleshooting of control equipment and associated high voltage devices
  • Configuration of relay protection, NX equipment and other control equipment
  • Check and adaptation of measurement and control circuits
  • Small design adaptations for minor and temporary measures
  • Routine testing of relay protection
  • Possibility to take responsibility for test management and commissioning management in larger projects for industrial customers, distribution and generation

You will belong to the business area Technology where we have about 170 engineers spread throughout the country, which gives access to a very large competence base. We work actively with internal training to broaden and deepen the skills of our employees. With us, you will have the opportunity to work with all types of control equipment at all voltage levels - from DC power plants to the national grid.


Travel in the service with overnight stays occurs as a natural part of the work.



Requirements


We know that you will develop with us. But to succeed in the role, you must already have:

  • A post-secondary education in electrical power or equivalent work experience
  • Good knowledge of electrical power plants and associated high-voltage devices
  • Knowledge of relay protection and relay protection configuration
  • Good computer skills
  • B driving license
  • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

We see it as a merit if you have:

  • Worked with control systems in regional and national networks or equivalent in heavy industry
  • Experience with older relay technology and IEC 61850
  • Experience with configuration of RTU/Switches and protocols IEC 101/104
  • Experience with construction in control systems.
  • Good knowledge of English

To succeed in the role, you also need to be able to plan and prioritize your work tasks independently.
