Our production corresponds to approx. 25% of Sweden's total electricity needs. In order to deliver high availability in our production, we need to constantly challenge ourselves, develop our working methods and take advantage of digital opportunities.

Job description

Do you want to have fun at work and at the same time work for a fossil-free society?

Now you have the opportunity to do it with us at Vattenfall Vattenkraft. To reach our goal, we need committed employees who want to contribute to a better climate. You become an important part of that work!

Hydropower is a reliable and renewable energy source with a very important function in our electricity system. Hydropower produces low emissions of carbon dioxide and supplies both base power and control power. Lule river is Vattenfall's and Sweden's most important river for the production of hydropower.

Now we are looking for a control plant engineer for Porjus, Jokkmokk or Vuollerim!

You will be part of the control facility group for the Lule River, we are currently 12 people and our tasks span a wide area. We work, for example, with technical troubleshooting/problem solving, periodic maintenance, programming, testing and commissioning of systems and other electrical equipment in Vattenfall Vattenkraft's production facilities. We also participate in feasibility studies and projects.

The work is varied, you need to be able to adapt to different situations and feel comfortable with changing priorities. Initially, you will work together with experienced staff and learn new things on a daily basis. Your work area will be the Lule River. After introduction, you will be part of our emergency group that offers technical support to our production teams in Lule river.

Requirements specification

You have a post-secondary education in automation/electric power, alternatively a high school education with an automation/electric power or hydropower engineering focus, or equivalent knowledge.

We would like you to have experience in production/operational technical maintenance in electric power and/or hydropower plants. It is a requirement that you have an understanding of electrical systems, can interpret circuit diagrams and handle measuring equipment. If you also have experience with, for example, Siemens S7, ABB 800xA, relay protection and electrical construction, that could be an advantage.

The work is done both independently and in teams. Flexibility, willingness to help and ability to cooperate are important. You speak and write Swedish and English. B driving license is a requirement as travel is included in the service.
