The automation area is growing rapidly and Vattenfall Eldistribución is installing more and more automation in the electricity network. In addition to the need for reinvestment of outdated equipment, there are strong driving forces through increased demands for fewer and shorter power outages and enablers for further digitization. The OT & Automation group is responsible for the operation and management of automation equipment, such as RTUs, HMIs and switches, throughout its life cycle and works actively as a technical requirement setter in the facility investment projects.

Job description

Your work areas

As a coordinator and system specialist in the OT & Automation group, you will work in the borderland between IT and electric power/control plant. In the role, you will collaborate with our investment projects and coordinate project resources from various business areas to project operations to guide the design of communication and remote control solutions for new construction of transformer stations in Sweden. You will also participate in the work of planning and coordinating our annual management efforts for our electricity network.

Examples of tasks:

  • Coordinate and coordinate project resources for project activities and in administrative work.
  • Participate and represent the group in investment projects for new construction of substations. by acting as a requirement setter for communication and remote control solutions.
  • Plan and coordinate administrative work and life cycle management.
  • Further develop our management process and collaborate with other departments.

Requirements specification

We are looking for you as

  • Has post-secondary education, preferably at university engineering level with a focus on automation, electricity/telecommunications, data communication and networks, IT/OT. Eg Electrical engineer, Automation engineer, Computer technology or equivalent knowledge through previous experience
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Has a B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you

  • Has knowledge and experience from work with administration and administrative work for technical business areas
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering, electrical power systems, process automation, IEC 61850, IP-based communication solutions or project management.
