Company description

Vattenfall Eldistribution is in the middle of the energy transition and has a central role in the powerful electrification that is currently taking place at the societal level where the network capacity needs to be doubled within the next 10 years. The transition means greatly increased customer interactions where the Tariff and Revenue department has an important role in developing and optimizing our tariff structures to meet future needs. We are currently 9 colleagues and are now planning to grow with new employees - including an experienced Data Analyst for our office in Solna or Luleå.

About the role

The work on developing our tariffs includes improving our cost modeling, automating data flows and complying with laws and current regulations. The group's biggest deliverable is to annually develop rates that not only provide the company with the desired revenue for the year, but are also fairly and cost equitably distributed among our customers across the network. The role of the group means that we often work in close dialog with other stakeholders, the business and our customers to understand and act on their needs. We are now looking for an experienced Data Analyst to take our analysis to the next level.

A data-driven approach is a key to streamlining working methods and creating long-term conditions in the work with tariffs and revenue follow-up, where we are looking for a person who wants to drive and help develop our data-driven approach.

The regular analyses performed by the group include several data sources, internal as well as external, which would need to be linked to a greater extent to make core analyses. In 2024, work started on migrating data, bringing our data sources together in a common data warehouse and mapping what is required to automate parts of the workflow. You will be a driving force in the work of enabling increased data-drivenness and automation and may be responsible for keeping together the development work in the analysis area linked to tariffs and revenues. This requires collaboration with many different parts of the business, where an inquisitive approach and strong problem-solving skills are key to the role

Requirements

To be successful in the role, we believe you will have:

  • Many years of experience programming in Python or similar programming language
  • Many years of experience building efficient and clear code to automate workflows, from structuring input files, processing and finally visualizing data
  • Many years of experience analyzing large datasets
  • Experience in statistical modeling and forecasting
  • Experience with visualization software such as Power BI
  • Experience working with data quality; identify and address deficiencies and initiate improvement initiatives
  • Relevant academic degree
  • Good communication skills/presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

We see it as a plus if you also have previous experience and/or insight into the energy industry. As the role of the department is to understand the needs of the business in the area of tariff development, your communication and relationship building skills both internally and externally are important. You have an innovative and analytical side and strength in solving problems and turning insights into consequences. We also believe that you are quick-footed and proactive to be able to handle the breadth of the role.
