Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and about 300 dams in the Nordic region. We are about 500 employees in Sweden and Finland with headquarters in Luleå. Hydropower's renewable electricity production is a prerequisite for creating a climate-smart and fossil-free society where we play an important role as an enabler for the sustainable energy system of the future.Our production corresponds to about 25% of Sweden's total electricity needs. You will belong to our environmental department, which is part of the Projects and Technology unit, which is responsible for plant management, investigations, technology management, implementation of investment projects, dam safety and of course our environmental work. In the environmental department, you work together with competent colleagues in fine premises in Luleå. Here are examples of your responsibilities/tasks:
Requirements specification
We are looking for you who have a university or college education in environmental science or equivalent. In addition, you have environmental knowledge and experience of working with:
Experience in hydropower, the Water Framework Directive and project management would be an advantage.
The role of environmental coordinator involves interaction with many stakeholders, so to succeed you will need to be confident, clear and a good communicator and collaborator. The job also requires you to take initiatives and decisions. We think that the environment is important to you, to get it at the top of everyone's agenda, so here you need to engage and motivate in a geographically dispersed business.
You have good IT skills, you speak and write Swedish and English and have a B driving license. Travel in the service occurs, you travel, among other things, to the relevant facilities and to participate in various project and collaboration meetings.
