Company description

Forsmark nuclear power plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden and we produce one sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden. Nuclear electricity has a very low fossil footprint and is a stable and weather-independent power source. Since 1980, our three production plants have delivered climate-smart electricity every day, all year round.

About 1,200 employees work at Forsmark today and we are part of the Vattenfall Group, which operates in a European labor market with opportunities for fantastic development for you as an employee. Our workplace is beautifully located along the beautiful Roslag coast.

About the role

Do you have a technical interest and want to work with experience feedback and coordination in nuclear power?

Now the group for experience feedback at Forsmark Power Group (FKA) is looking for a curious and structured coordinator with good self-leadership who wants to be involved in developing our work with experience feedback. Here you get to combine technical interest with analysis, collaboration and improvement work in a role that makes a real difference - both locally and internationally.

About the job

By learning from their own and other nuclear power plants' experiences, we can ensure stable and safe operation now and for a long time to come. The group is responsible for managing and developing internal and external lessons learned. The group works on managing the system support for lessons learned, supporting the organization and making lessons learned searchable. An experience can be, for example, a lesson learned that helps to perform work more safely or efficiently and contributes to continuous improvement. What makes the work interesting is that we get an overall picture of everything that happens in our business.

The group has extensive contact both internally within the organization and externally, through Nordic and international cooperation with, among others, Norderf and the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO). We consist of seven employees with a wide age range, two women and five men with varying work experience and education.

We have a welcoming and pleasant working climate where we, together with the other groups in the unit, organize activities for well-being. Work environment is a high focus as we regularly talk about our organizational and social work environment at group meetings and evaluate our own work environment.

Your tasks

You will act as support in experience feedback to one or more departments at FKA in the role of coordinator. Together with the team, you will, among other things, assess and decide on the overall management of cases in the system support. You will help develop our lessons learned and contribute to our being a learning organization. Your daily work may consist of:

  • Verifying and coordinating internal and external experiences within your organizational area in the system support
  • Pulling and managing data and indicators from databases and systems
  • Managing and developing routines and system support for the area of experience feedback together with colleagues
  • Writing and reporting events at Forsmark Power Group through WANO Event Report (WER)

Depending on your background, personal drives and interest, there is the opportunity to develop further within the role. This could mean, for example, becoming an internal teacher for our computer system and holding training courses, or acting as a contact person for international actors such as WANO, where you contribute to the exchange of experience within the Nordic region and globally.

Requirements

We would like you to have:

  • Lower secondary education
  • Interested in learning more about technology and curious about our process systems in nuclear power
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and English at a basic level
  • Computer skills, preferably good knowledge of Excel

We are not looking for a candidate who meets every point in the ad - the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and willingness to develop. If you have previous experience from the nuclear industry, process industry, qualitative analysis, work with continuous improvement or business development, we see it as a merit. This type of background can contribute positively to our efforts to develop the business and strengthen our learning culture.

We want you to possess some of the following qualities, but also complement with your own skills. The recruitment will focus on finding a person with qualities and behaviors that will complement the group.

As a person, we look for you to be enterprising, helpful and value good cooperation within the group, with other departments and external parties. With your positive attitude, you have the ability to stay motivated and drive the work forward despite sometimes long lead times. You have a technical interest, an administrative aptitude and an ability to make connections between experience in trend and analysis work. In the course of your work, you will create a network of contacts within the department for which you coordinate experiences, so it is important that you have the ability to communicate clearly. We also see that you have a solution-oriented approach to problems and raise possible improvements in the work area.

Additional information

To work with both detailed and overall issues in experience feedback at Forsmark Power Group in collaboration with the own group but also with other departments. There are opportunities to influence and motivate your own work and further develop the field of lessons learned. There are opportunities for national, Nordic and international cooperation. In this role you will meet many people and develop your network of contacts.
