Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and about 300 dams in the Nordic region. We are about 500 employees in Sweden and Finland with headquarters in Luleå. We are now looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager!

You will be part of a small group of operational engineers within Vattenfall Hydropower's organization. The main task is the role of commissioning manager for major commissioning in connection with investment projects. The work also includes working with functional requirements, selective plans, fault current calculations and relay protection settings.



About the role


Your main task is the role of commissioning manager for major commissioning in connection with investments in hydropower generators (also spillways, transformers, local power occur). You make preparations in the form of collecting documentation, site visits and program writing. Commissioning then takes place, usually over a couple of weeks. Your work ends with report writing.

The work also includes working with functional requirements in connection with investments, selective plans, fault current calculations and relay protection settings. These tasks are included on an ongoing basis but to varying degrees depending on the status of the projects and ongoing commissioning



Requirements specification


You have an electrical power engineering education, preferably in hydropower, and solid experience from operational work with commissioning. It is meritorious with experience of hydropower production in operation & maintenance, control plant, protection functions and testing.

You work in a structured and methodical way and have a high safety mindset. You have leadership qualities and are able to make decisions together with the team on site in relation to the implementation. Even under pressure, you keep your calm and realistic perspective and you take responsibility for ensuring systematics and quality. As the work involves many contact surfaces, it is important that you have good cooperation and communication skills.

You have a B driving license as travel in the service occurs.
