Vattenfall Vattenkraft is looking for two group managers in IT for Jokkmokk, Luleå and/or Sundsvall!

The groups are part of the IT department, which consists of roughly 20 employees and is responsible for ensuring that our employees and production facilities have the right IT support and stable infrastructure based on current needs and requirements. It includes, among other things, areas such as capturing and managing the needs of the business, developing and communicating architecture, target images and plans, managing and supporting IT security issues, driving and coordinating digitization, managing and managing IT projects and IT management, as well as secure and stable operation of facility-related IT.

Group Manager Development

You will lead a team that currently consists of eight employees with positions such as IT architect, IT project manager, IT administration manager and IT security specialist. Together with your colleagues, you will, among other things, contribute to digitization while maintaining security and thus important development of Vattenfall Vattenkraft's operations.

Group Manager Infrastructure/Operations

You will lead a team that currently consists of 12 employees who mainly work with operation and ongoing management of on-site IT (OT) infrastructure for our production facilities. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to the stable and safe operation of Vattenfall Vattenkraft's socially important production facilities.

As group manager, you lead, inspire and engage the employees within your area of ​​responsibility. You create the conditions and support the group so that we, together with other parts of the organization, succeed in reaching our goals.

Examples of your tasks and areas of responsibility:

  • Personnel responsibility for the employees in the group, including work environment responsibility
  • Operational functional responsibility for the group's business area including budget responsibility
  • Lead and develop the group at individual and group level
  • Build relationships with internal and external partners
  • Planning, prioritization and follow-up of tasks
  • Management team work; contribute to the development of the IT department.

Your background

We believe that you have worked in the IT area in roles that made demands on you as a leader in change. Experience of personnel responsibility is meritorious. If you have experience in the energy industry, that is a plus.

Basically, you have an education at college/university level in IT, or equivalent skills. It is an advantage if you have experience of working in a business affected by the Safety Protection Act. You speak and write both Swedish and English. A B driver's license and the ability to travel for work is a requirement.


We are looking for two group managers and current locations are Luleå, Jokkmokk and/or Sundsvall.
