Do you want to be part of the creation of the future IT supplier organization that delivers services to Vattenfall's nuclear power operations? Then we can offer an exciting managerial role for one of the groups responsible for development and application management. The department within Vattenfall IT that supplies IT to nuclear facilities within Vattenfall, Nuclear Solutions, is undergoing an exciting change where previously three departments and deliveries will become one. Vattenfall Nuclear IT Solutions has high goals and aims to deliver world-class stable and secure IT. The organization is an integrated part of Vattenfall IT, which is an internal supplier of IT within Vattenfall.


You will be part of an organization that values ​​safety, openness, continuous learning and collaboration highly and in a management team that supports and coaches each other. Within the department, in addition to your own group, there are three other groups with similar responsibilities. You will be part of and sometimes lead a management team together with them as well as part of the overall management team for Nuclear solutions.


Your responsibility

You will lead one of four groups within application management vis-à-vis Vattenfall's Swedish nuclear power operations. The group consists of around 15 employees, employees and consultants, who deliver application development, management and stable and secure application operation, provide project resources and technical expertise. The majority of the employees in this group are located in Forsmark but also in Solna and Ringhals. The main focus is on safe and stable application operation. You ensure that the group follows processes and routines in accordance with nuclear power's requirements and that the employees grow and thrive. You ensure that delivery from groups takes place on time and with promised quality and that innovation and collaboration are always on the agenda.


At the moment, an internal business development initiative is underway where we introduce agile methodology inspired by SAFe in our delivery methodology.


You have personnel, budget and work environment responsibility for the group in addition to delivery responsibility for the application areas your team works within.


Your work assignments

As group leader, your main tasks will be to lead, plan, coordinate and follow up the work. You drive changes and improvements where necessary and ensure that the group has what it needs to be able to perform its tasks. Examples of tasks can be:

  • Support through technical understanding
  • Ensure employee competence
  • Remove obstacles and create a good working climate that makes employees happy
  • Coach through change
  • Persistently drive improvement and innovation
  • Drive initiatives and actively contribute to the management team, also in matters outside the group's areas of responsibility

You will report to the head of Vattenfall Nuclear Solutions.

We would love to see you

  • Has a university degree in a relevant field, such as IT, alternatively solid work experience in application management and development, operation and development of IT infrastructure or other work experience that the employer considers relevant
  • Has manager or leadership experience
  • fluent in Swedish and English (spoken/written)

It is also meritorious if you have

  • Interest and knowledge of IT-related processes and frameworks such as ITIL and SAFe
  • Experience leading distributed teams remotely
  • Driven change work with good results

Location

Location is flexible based on the locations where Vattenfall IT/Nuclear Solutions operates, but you should be prepared to travel a bit between these locations: Oskarshamn, Forsmark, Stockholm (Solna) and Väröbacka. Most of the employees in the group you will lead are currently at the Forsmark and Ringhals Nuclear Power Plants, at the head office in Solna and Swedish Nuclear Fuel Handling's facility in Oskarshamn, which is why one of these places is your location. Vattenfall IT also offers the option of remote work from home.
