In Project Planning you ensure optimal plant investments from a holistic perspective by projecting internal and external needs. The needs range from reinvestment of our lines, stations and communication networks to the connection of both large and small customers. Based on the needs, we develop measures and propose investments in facilities. We prepare decision-making documents and then plan and carry out technical feasibility studies for the decided investments. Project planning Local networks within the company currently consists of three departments that are regionally divided into North, Middle and South with respective regional offices in Luleå, Solna (head office) and Trollhättan. For our department in the North, we are looking for a Head of Department who, together with competent and driven employees, wants to take on the challenge of contributing to the further electrification of Sweden.

In Project Planning Local Network North, a group of 10 employees currently work in different places in northern Sweden (our offices are located in Luleå, Umeå and Jokkmokk). As Head of Department, you will lead the development of your team and the business in your geographical area, which requires the ability to work operationally while having a strategic height and understanding. You will work closely with your managerial colleagues within the same unit where sharing of responsibilities and synchronization between departments and regions is important. You report to the Head of Unit for Project North.

Your tasks

  • Lead and develop your employees, both at individual and group level
  • Continuously analyze skills and resource needs and actively work with skills development / supply
  • Plan, prioritize and follow up the business, which includes resource planning and workload management.including resource planning and work distribution, both within your department and together with the other departments within the unit
  • Drive business-critical issues together with your employees and colleagues in neighboring departments and create the conditions for development and effective collaboration
  • Set your own internal budget and work forecasting and cost monitoring
  • As a member of the unit's management team, contribute to the development of both the business and the organization


Requirements

We are looking for you who have

  • Management experience as a manager or other relevant management experience for at least 2 years.
  • Academic education, preferably in electric power, energy, civil engineering or equivalent
  • Experience of working in larger organizations, which requires the ability to work process-oriented
  • Experience of change management and business development
  • Industry experience or experience of or knowledge of critical infrastructure, which is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Good communication skills both in writing and orally. Good command of Swedish and English
  • B driving license as travel in service by car occurs
