UL operates Forsmark with buses that have a wireless network on the Gävle-Forsmark and Uppsala-Forsmark routes, which gives you the opportunity to use travel time as working time if/when work allows. Buses to and from Forsmark are adapted to the working hours of daytime staff. You also have the opportunity to use our remote workplaces in Gävle and Uppsala or work from home if/when work allows.

As Head of Unit Environment and Work Environment you will be a key person in the Protection department at Forsmark. The department is responsible for managing operational issues in the areas of protection of human health, the plant and the environment. The Environment and Work Environment unit is central to this work and is responsible for performing, developing and managing tasks in the external environment, dangerous goods, human performance, electrical safety and work environment and protective equipment. About the job
The role of Head of Unit for Environment and Work Environment is suitable for those who want to combine a present leadership with an important social mission in a complex industrial environment. Your main task is to maintain and develop the unit's work to support and develop Forsmark's operations within the unit's areas of responsibility.
The unit is in a phase of gradual development where your ability to create structure, develop competence and build trust in the teams will be central. The focus of the unit's work is now to further develop cooperation in an organization with many different competencies and areas of cooperation. In the coming years, Forsmark is conducting an ongoing competence and ability increase in the work environment, where the unit's work is of great importance in driving and developing the work.
To succeed in the role, we would like you to have experience of leading employees in different professional roles and work environments and that you see collaboration as a natural and important part of leadership.
The unit consists of about 12 employees who work in the unit's areas of responsibility.

Requirements
We are looking for a leader who is driven to work with a group that works with several subject areas, understand your staff and the various challenges they face. You have the ability to understand and familiarize yourself with the different subject areas. As the unit supports all of Forsmark's operations, you will be able to both personally, but also encourage your staff to make contacts with functions outside your own department. This will create a wide network of contacts in Forsmark. We believe that you thrive to work both strategically as a unit manager and part of the department's management team, but also operationally with direct reports in your team.
We are looking for you who have a clear focus on improvement, who are committed, solution-oriented and who can create structure and work peace in a developing business.
