About the role

An exciting everyday life - for a fossil-free future. With us, you get to influence tomorrow's climate-smart society and create the electricity grid of the future.

Electricity distribution is at the center of the energy transition and is an enabler for a fossil-free society. The powerful electrification that is underway is predicted to double energy use in Sweden by 2045. For us at Vattenfall Eldistribution, the high demand means a doubling of transmitted energy already by 2030, driven by a desire in all customer segments to become fossil-free.

Efficient information management is an important piece of the puzzle to accelerate digitalization and strengthen our ability to meet changing customer needs, external requirements and to adapt to future changes with efficient resource utilization.

As part of this, in 2024 Eldistribution launched a strategic initiative, Effective Information Management, where we have now started implementation, which involves establishing clear roles, responsibilities, working methods and appropriate tools, as well as creating effective communication channels and forums.

To strengthen our work, we are now looking for an Information Governance Officer (IGO) who can lead the development of our information management function. The role is strategically important and offers the opportunity to influence and build a function from scratch during an exciting transformation journey.

You have the ability to connect with diverse groups of people and package communications to sell concepts and ideas in a way that everyone can follow and understand. You have the ability to bring about change in both the short and long term and know the best and most effective ways to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. As a person, you are also self-driven and proactive, taking responsibility for projects and delivering results. Perseverance and a willingness to find solutions to problems that arise are a prerequisite for success in the role.

We are looking for you who have:

  • Academic higher education in data, IT, information science or equivalent. Alternatively, other relevant education in combination with work experience that has provided equivalent competence
