Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and approx. 300 dams in the Nordic region. We are approximately 500 employees in Sweden and Finland with headquarters in Luleå. As an investment planner, your task is to strategically plan the execution of the company's investment portfolio. You will have a central role in planning and prioritizing investment projects in close collaboration with project sponsors, project managers and various competencies within asset management.

You are offered good opportunities to develop both how the business is conducted and ensure that it is steered towards predetermined business strategies. Vattenfall Vattenkraft's project portfolio is extensive; the investment volume amounts to approximately SEK 1.3 billion annually and varies from investments in smaller projects to the implementation of large and complex contracting projects, such as the construction project at Lilla Edet in the Göta River.

Here are examples of your tasks and areas of responsibility

  • Investment planning; support project sponsors and project managers with project-specific decision journeys
  • Support project sponsors with strategic planning of project portfolio when prioritizing
  • Quality-assured investment decisions (financial control) before various project decision meetings both within Vattenfall Vattenkraft and the Vattenfall Group
  • Coordinate and coordinate investment plans with portfolio plans (project plans)
  • Ensure that major investment and procurement and contracting decisions are planned and executed at the right time and with the right quality
  • Participate in investment decision forums
  • Develop and standardize processes and common working methods (related to investments and projects)
  • Ensure that "assurance" is planned and implemented before TG decisions in large projects.

Requirements specification

We are looking for you who have a college or university degree in, for example, technology or industrial economics. We see it as meritorious if you have a few years of experience in project management, business development, contracting and legal/contractual matters. We would like to see that you have worked with portfolio management and portfolio plans in businesses with large investment volumes.

As an investment planner, you need to have a lot of drive, be creative and see opportunities to improve and then implement changes. Part of the job involves, for example, continuing to develop our routines and processes for managing investment projects.

You are confident and professional in your professional role and used to working strategically with innovative issues. You have a good ability to build and maintain trusting relationships. You have good communication skills in both speech and writing (Swedish and English). B driver's license is a requirement, travel in the service occurs.
