We at Vattenfall Eldistribution are growing and are now looking for several competent employees for our architecture team. You will belong to an architecture function with broad expertise in Enterprise, Business, IT and Information Architecture. The architecture department consists of about 15 employees and consultants with the task of leading the creation and development of an architecture that proactively meets the future requirements of smart grids, new energy sources and a rapidly changing world.

Vattenfall Eldistribution is undergoing a major upgrade of the integration platform (Biztalk), redesign of the existing Data and Analysis platform and a move towards a more modular IT environment.

As an IT architect with us, you will drive and support analysis and architecture work with a focus on integration, platforms, cloud, analysis and security. You will also participate in building the operational and tactical architecture capability in the area of IT Common. The work involves close collaboration with the security function and our group-wide IT, and you will have many collaboration partners, both internally and externally.

In your role as IT architect, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Drive co-creation and anchoring of our future IT landscape in close collaboration with IT and the business.
  • Facilitate the development of IT solutions within and between our delivery areas and carry out analyses, investigations and produce decision-making documents based on areas such as data, analysis, infrastructure and integration.
  • Drive architecture and design work, analyze technical choices and guide initiatives and develop architecture designs that follow architecture principles, target architecture and agreed standards.
  • Communicate and visualize architectural movements in roadmaps.
  • Oversee and lead architectural evaluations, such as new technologies, tools and concepts together with relevant groups/teams.
  • Work with other architects and the business to ensure that the architecture is up to date and coherent.
  • Participate in the further development of common architecture methods and tools.

We are moving towards a domain-driven and business-oriented architecture work, and you will, together with the other architects in the team, help shape and establish new working methods and methods in close collaboration with both business and IT.


Requirements

We see that you have customer focus and the ability to see the big picture. You are comfortable leading and driving architecture work and can balance short and long-term focus. You communicate and visualize complex solutions in a simple and accessible way, are skilled at anchoring and navigating in large organizations, and show humility and respect in working with others. You are also curious and good at keeping up to date with what is happening in your professional field and in the industry. We attach great importance to your personal qualities.


We would like you to have:

  • Relevant education from university or college in IT, computer science or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of experience in architecture work in roles such as Domain Architect, IT Architect, Solution Architect and / or System Architect.
  • Experience of major IT modernization and transformation projects in complex IT environments with cloud solutions, preferably in transaction-heavy and security-classified operations.
  • Experience of Azure PaaS, API Management, Kafka, Hybrid Integrations, Databricks, Dynamics, Microservices architecture, Zero Trust, IAM.
  • Experience and good understanding of information and data architecture.
  • Experience in decision making, developing, communicating and maintaining target architectures and IT roadmaps.
  • Experience and ability to apply methodologies and frameworks (SAFe, TOGAF etc.) and architecture tools (Visio, Sparx Enterprise Architect etc.).
  • Experience in working with agile methodologies and iterative deliveries.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
