Do you want to be part of the creation of the future IT supplier organization that delivers services to Vattenfall's nuclear power operations? Then we can offer an exciting technology role within one of the groups responsible for operation and development of IT infrastructure. Vattenfall Nuclear Solutions supplies IT to nuclear facilities within Vattenfall and is currently undergoing an exciting transformation and is in an expansive phase with modernization and the establishment of a new data center. We have a strong focus on security and will build a new common IT environment during the year. The organization is an integrated part of Vattenfall IT, which is an international internal supplier of IT within Vattenfall. You will get to work with the latest technology and collaborate with the major IT suppliers.

Our team consists of around 20 employees with different areas of competence within IT infrastructure and we are located in Solna, Oskarshamn and Östhammar. We now need to strengthen the group with another IT technician in Oskarshamn who has experience in IT operations . You will be part of a team consisting of specialists and generalists and you will support in several different technical areas such as server, storage and network. We offer a varied work environment with a modern remote workplace that makes it possible to partially work from home.

Varied tasks

  • Participate in various transformation and change projects within IT and globally within the Vattenfall Group
  • Contribute to increased automation of operating processes and the like
  • High security focus where improvements are constantly being looked at
  • Ensure that existing environments are developed and be responsible for the design and implementation of the latest solutions
  • Operation, maintenance and monitoring of IT infrastructure

Requirements specification

We believe that the applicant is a person who feels secure in his role and has at least 5 years of experience in IT operations and has worked in large IT environments with both operation and development of IT infrastructure. We would like to see that, in addition to your knowledge in data center operation, you also want to grow in one of the following areas:

  • Windows server
  • Linux
  • Network
  • Virtualization
  • Storage
  • Data hall
  • Automation

You must also master Swedish and English unhindered in both speech and writing.

As a person

Great focus will be placed on personal suitability and the ambition to develop within the field. You have a good ability to familiarize yourself with new technology and are good at troubleshooting of varying size and complexity. We would like to see that you who apply are trust-building, both within your own group and towards other operations. You thrive in change and have a natural drive towards continuous improvement. You have good cooperation skills and a humble approach to people around you. You enjoy collaborating with others and also have good structure in your own work.
