Forsmark nuclear power plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden and we produce one sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden. Nuclear electricity has a very low fossil footprint and is a stable and weather-independent power source. About the job

The group is responsible for maintaining personal dosimetry, whole body measurement and radiological environmental control and that the control programs are carried out according to requirements. You will work together with others in a small group where the employees have different levels of experience and educational orientations.

We offer you a varied job that includes sampling, laboratory work, analysis, calculation and report writing but also mentorship and internal teaching activities. The role involves independent work and great responsibility within the group's areas of responsibility. There are also great opportunities to develop new methods, influence processes and improve operations. Periodic standby duty is included in the role.

Your main tasks:

  • Together with the group, be responsible for and carry out tasks in radiological environmental control and whole body measurements.
  • Register and follow trends and write reports in the areas.
  • Assist in quality work in connection with the implementation of new work routines, e.g. in the case of new requirements in the areas.
  • Be part of Forsmark's Accident Preparedness Organization.


Requirements specification

The role comes with a very large responsibility for your area. In order to create momentum in the work, we see that you take responsibility for your processes by being proactive and driving in the area. Working carefully and quality-consciously is a matter of course. To succeed in the role, you also need to have a good ability to structure and prioritize your work and have good communication and very good cooperation with others. Contact with internal and external actors is part of everyday life.

We see that you have:

  • Scientific university education preferably in hospital physics, radiochemistry or radiation biology
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
  • B-driving license

More advantageous is if you have:

  • Knowledge in a radiation science field.
  • Experience of working in a laboratory environment
  • Experience from a nuclear facility or work with ionizing radiation
