We are now looking for an Engineer for the Nuclear Maintenance Quality Review (NMQR) group, which is part of the Structural Integrity and Fuel Service unit in the Maintenance Department at Forsmark Power Group. The group is responsible for all regulatory non-destructive testing (NDT).


About the job

The group's work ranges from interpretation of regulations, design of inspection programs, procurement and qualification of test equipment, procedures and personnel to planning and supervision of the suppliers performing the tests. Periodic inspection is performed on many different parts and with a wide variety of methods and equipment.

As an engineer in the group, you will work together with friendly and experienced colleagues of varied age and gender, in a helpful environment where we work closely with each other to meet the requirements and goals that are set.

Main tasks:

  • Drive and collaborate in commitments regarding Non-destructive testing. Refers to tasks related to annual audit work but also planning of NDT from a long-term perspective
  • Develop and be the cohesive link between NDT and control programs, mainly with regard to the control program for reactor vessel/internal parts
  • Review documentation including test protocols and procedures
  • Participate in the procurement and qualification of test equipment, procedure and personnel
  • Participate in auditing as a support function for test implementation, review of protocols

The work as an engineer on periodic inspection involves varied tasks with good opportunities to shape the work yourself. You will act as a support to the group in questions and investigations linked to inspection and testing. The work is both independent and in collaboration with many functions within and outside Forsmark. Travel within Sweden and abroad may occur to a small extent.

Requirements

We would like you to

  • Have an upper secondary education with a technical focus. If you have further education, it can be seen as an advantage
  • Knowledge of testing and training in test methods according to ISO 9712, certificates in several test methods are advantageous
  • Have an interest in reading and interpreting standards. Experience from interpretation of standards is meritorious
  • Have good computer skills and are used to working in the Office package, as the work includes writing both reports and instructions
  • Can express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English in speech and writing

Experience from the nuclear power or process industry can be seen as meritorious, as well as experience of Non-destructive testing or of leading staff.

As a person, you are quality conscious and attach great importance to meeting the requirements and regulations that exist. You have the ability to independently plan, prioritize and drive your own work forward, while seeing the value of good cooperation with others. We expect you to be analytical and confident in your role, able to weigh up information to see what is relevant. Furthermore, you are open and comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
