About the role

Ringhals is now looking for an Operator for the Security Center

Who are we?

The group is part of the Plant Protection and Surveillance unit, which works to protect the plant against unauthorized intrusion, sabotage or other such influences that may lead to a radiological accident or unauthorized handling of nuclear material or nuclear waste. The unit has a large operational activity and cooperates closely with the entire organization and external authorities. The unit is in a development phase and a number of initiatives are underway to better adapt its operations to the current external situation. The unit's mission is to maintain physical protection and create security.

Your tasks:

As an operator in the Security Center, you have a crucial role in protecting and securing our plant. You handle incoming cases such as alarms, take in information, make assessments, document and prioritize to ensure a safe workplace for everyone.

You work in a number of IT systems that help you search for information and create an overview of the situation, you guide and support resources in various assignments in the external operations so that they can carry out their work safely. You will work under the guidance and support of supervisors.

Requirements

Who are you?

We are looking for a self-driven and committed person who wants to develop with us and be part of our business. To succeed in the role, you need the following background/experience:

  • a few years of work experience in the field, preferably as an alarm operator or security guard
  • you have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and in English
  • the service involves shift work with day, evening and night shifts all year round. We would therefore like you to have previous experience of shift work
  • If you have experience of surveillance activities and/or have worked at nuclear power plants or other socially important facilities before, we see it as meritorious

In this role, you will have to handle several different tasks at the same time, which can sometimes mean a high workload. It is therefore important that you are able to act according to applicable procedures/requirements/instructions. You also need to be able to act and make decisions independently and have the ability to adapt your communication to the situation. It is also important to be able to create and maintain good relationships and enjoy working with others. Your ability to prioritize tasks, document and work in a systematic way is important to succeed in the role.
