We at Vattenfall Eldistribution AB are looking for you who have a burning interest in electric power and want to work at the forefront of the technical development of our smart facilities. As a Power System Specialist with us, we promise that you will be challenged in exciting and complex questions.

The Project Engineering department is responsible for ensuring technical content in the planning and implementation of construction investments and constitutes a construction engineering specialist competence support to the business. We translate plant strategies, operating experiences and development projects into actual standardized solutions that are implemented in the business. Unleash your superpowers with us!

In your role as a technical specialist, you are mainly responsible for supporting the investment activities, which means acting as a technical resource in our projects. Your main tasks are the following:

  • Ensure the quality of the new facilities and that the facility design is optimal
  • Requirements for facility design, both overall and project-specific
  • Review technical construction and check design
  • Be the author of technical guidelines regarding overhead lines 40 kV – 130 kV
  • Ensure that the facility meets the requirements of the technical specification and Vattenfall's Technical Guidelines
  • Collaborate with other departments in projects
  • Carry out technical investigations linked to projects
  • Drive technical development within own area of ​​expertise

Some travel is included in the service, mainly to the projects you are working on at the moment.

Your background

We are looking for you who have

  • College or university level in electrical power, mechanical engineering, civil engineering (civil engineering) or similar. Alternatively, you have acquired your competence through industry experience and successive training in the electricity industry.
  • Worked with electricity issues and is familiar with the structure and function of the regional grid.
  • Specifically worked with overhead lines and may have experience from maintenance, design, construction or construction of overhead lines 40 kV – 130 kV. In your previous career, you may have worked with overhead lines as a distribution electrician.
  • Experience from projects involving new construction and/or renewal of overhead lines 40 kV – 130 kV.
  • Easy to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
  • B driver's license

You are responsible, which means that you drive your work forward on your own and with good quality. You find it easy to communicate and collaborate with others as you are largely included as a resource in larger project groups.

We see it as meritorious if you have

  • Mechanical/material knowledge connected to the construction of overhead lines.
  • Knowledge of contract law (AB04 and ABT06)
  • Good knowledge of Power Regulations/ESA/Norms/Technical guidelines
