We at Vattenfall Eldistribution are looking for you who have a passion for electric power and want to work at the forefront of and contribute to the energy transition that is taking place. We are now looking for another Power System Specialist focusing on connection codes within Plant Development. As a Power System Specialist with us, we promise that you will be challenged in exciting and complex issues with the task of ensuring that production facilities are connected to local and regional networks according to the right technical conditions.

The Plant Development unit within Asset Management currently consists of 16 employees, three of whom currently work with the connection codes and we need more! Vattenfall Eldistribution is facing major investment increases in the coming years and it is important to develop our facilities so that they can be built resource and cost efficiently while being climate sustainable and robust. Plant development contributes to developing the electricity network in line with the development of society and, in addition to the responsibility for the connection codes, we are responsible for technology development pilots, technical review of investment projects and technical governing documents. Our unit is characterized by high competence, will and energy. We have full focus on the mission and also make sure to have fun at work.

Your tasks

Now we need to strengthen with additional employees in connection codes, Requirements for Generators (RfG), whose main task will be to

  • For the connection and rebuilding of production plants, convey the technical requirements picture according to RfG and internal technical conditions
  • Conduct the connection procedure for these plants, which means reviewing and verifying plant data, compliance testing and simulation results
  • Coordination of project-specific RfG requirements with Svenska Kraftnät
  • Handle notifications to the Swedish Energy Markets Inspectorate regarding rebuilds of production plants
  • Handle injunctions from the Swedish Energy Markets Inspectorate linked to RfG
  • Manage governing documents describing the connection procedure
  • Participate in the internal and external development work on RfG regarding routines, processes and governing documents
  • Contribute to internal projects that implement the network codes within the company
  • Participate in industry-wide forums and monitor the business environment in your area of responsibility

Requirement specification

We are looking for you who have an engineering education in electrical power / energy technology at college or university level, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we consider equivalent.

You have good collaboration skills and are easy to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.

Driving license B is a requirement as travel may occur in the service.

Advantageous is if you have experience and knowledge in

  • Design, simulation and testing of production facilities
  • Network codes or knowledge of RfG, EIFS 2018: 2 or DCC
  • Generators and other electrical power components
  • Formulate and concretize technical requirements and interpret standards and regulations

We also look for you to have good verbal skills and possess high and well-developed interpersonal skills as you participate in several different connection cases and work with various internal and external stakeholders. With advantage one of our offices in Solna, Trollhättan or Umeå but also placement in Luleå, Västerås, Uppsala, Gothenburg or Linköping can be discussed. Travel may occur in the service.
