Work model On location
Are you the one?

We electrify Sweden so you can live fossil-free tomorrow.

Do you want to make a real difference so that Sweden succeeds in the energy transition and reaches the climate goals?

We are now looking for more committed and curious power system specialists with competence in control systems for support in our projects as large investments will be made in our network in the coming year.

We are in a historic transition and are facing a comprehensive electrification of society. One way we do this is to increase the investments we make in our electricity network in the coming year. In order to be able to do this, we need to have more committed, driven employees within the Facility Investment unit who work with our investment projects within local and regional networks.

Now you have the chance to become one of our next power system engineers with a focus on control plant issues with technology in focus and act as a technical resource in our investment projects.

As a Power System Specialist with us, we promise that you will be challenged in exciting and complex questions. The Project Engineering department is responsible for ensuring technical content in the planning and execution of construction investments and delivers construction engineering specialist expertise to the business. We translate plant strategies, operating experiences and development projects into actual standardized solutions to be implemented in the business. Unleash your superpowers with us!

Your main responsibility will be to provide specialist expertise to the investment business, which means acting as a technical resource in our projects. Your duties include, among other things:

  • Ensure the quality of the new facilities and that the facility design is optimal.
  • Participate in tender evaluation regarding the station's technical functions.
  • Review technical construction and check design during factory tests.
  • Act as responsible representative during commissioning testing and commissioning and ensure that the plant meets the requirements of the technical specification and Vattenfall's Technical Guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the Capital Investments unit.

Your background

You have an engineering education in electrical power technology at college or university level or have obtained equivalent competence through work experience. You have worked with a variety of electrical power issues and are familiar with the structure and function of the electrical grid, especially with a focus on fault disconnection and control equipment systems. You enjoy collaborating with others and find it easy to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English. An important driving force for you is a curiosity in constantly learning more connected to technology and how technology can be used in the best way to be able to act as good technical support in projects. As travel to nearby projects may occur in this position, you need a class B driver's license.
