Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 600 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that trains personnel in Swedish nuclear power, delivers nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and implements projects and assignments, and provides internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, Group staffs and stakeholders. This includes activities such as development and provision of training, project management and project support, analysis management and investigation, product development, nuclear safety assignments and dam safety assignments. The focus of the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. We work actively with continuous improvement initiatives and development of our models, where our work and competence create great value for Vattenfall and its investments.

We are now looking for project coordinators, both those who have experience in the field and those who are less experienced, for exciting and varied assignments in the energy industry. As a Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the Project Manager and Project Planner, as well as being part of the Project Management Team for the management of the projects.

You will be part of a team that values openness and collaboration, and that strives to create a positive working environment with a strong sense of community. Your tasks

The role of project coordinator includes:

  • Being part of the project support team in the project management group.
  • Responsible for ensuring that there are procedures, tools and reliable information about the cost of the project. Monitor what is or could be critical.
  • Develop and improve project financial planning as the project progresses. Monitor project resource consumption and payments to suppliers.
  • Participate in the preparation of plans, reports or other decision support for milestones and decision points. Support the project manager with documentation when presenting to the sponsor, steering group and during review
  • Participate in risk management, for example by drawing up the risk/opportunity plan, monitoring progress, risk reporting, activity monitoring and updating.
  • Act as the project manager's deputy.

Requirements specification

We are looking for you with a passion for strategy, order and orderliness and who have a strong desire to promote effective project management. As a person, you are sociable, independent, analytical and a natural team player. You have an excellent ability to coordinate and synchronize workflows and tasks. This requires you to use your network effectively and have a good sense of structure and collaboration.

We would like you to have:

  • Relevant university education or equivalent work experience, preferably a few years of experience in project work
  • Experience from the business system SAP is desirable
  • Experience of leading workshops and supervising others in costing/risk/planning is meritorious
  • If you have PMI or IPMA certification, it is also an advantage
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and in English
  • B-driving license
