Company description

SKB is now underway with three major construction projects to finalize the Swedish nuclear waste. This is largely pioneering work and involves many complex challenges that enable fossil-free electricity production in Sweden's nuclear power plants.

Your overall goal is to contribute, together with your team, to the safe and sustainable management of Swedish radioactive waste with little impact on the climate and the environment. Your task as a leader is to gather the power so that it becomes greater than the sum of the individual parts. The work places high demands on connecting people, accelerating learning and driving innovation.

About the role

Here you will work

As a project manager, you will belong to the Project Clab unit, which has the task of carrying out projects aimed mainly at developing operational facilities and transport systems, but also with the implementation of future major programs. The unit currently consists of a team of 15 employees who together run a wide variety of projects.

What you will do

SKB is now looking for project managers who will lead project teams consisting of competent employees from different parts of the organization. Your job will therefore be to motivate, drive and lead your team members towards set project goals. You will also drive a forward-looking collaboration with suppliers, contractors and other parts of our own business.

Tasks:

  • Implement projects together with the project team by involving, motivating and leading its members.
  • Structure, plan and follow up deliveries in accordance with set goals.
  • Ensure that the right documentation is prepared for various decisions and reports.


Requirements

Your background

We are looking for you who have:

  • post-secondary education in technology or acquired equivalent skills from professional life
  • experience in leading other people
  • experience from project activities

It is meritorious if you have previously run successful projects in a complex business.

We also place great emphasis on personal competencies. The role requires an ability and interest in managing other people with different competencies in a cross-functional organization. You are used to independently pursuing issues and have the ability to look at the big picture and see the context. As a person, you are creative, communicative and build partnerships and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
