Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions (VPS) is a business unit with approximately 650 employees within Business Area (BA) Generation. We develop and execute projects and assignments, supply nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, provide technical services to several of Vattenfall's operations and act as the central nuclear training body.

Our activities include project management and project support, analysis management and investigations, product development and assignments in nuclear safety and dam safety. Within BU VPS, we focus on strengthening our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. We work actively with continuous improvements and development of our working methods and models - where our competence contributes to creating great value for Vattenfall and its investments.

Vattenfall currently has five nuclear power reactors in operation. These plants are undergoing continuous improvements and modernization to be able to deliver stable, safe and fossil-free electricity for a long time to come. In parallel, major investments are being made in hydro power, with a focus on renewal and capacity increases. Vattenfall is also working to establish new nuclear power on the Värö Peninsula.

The project department within the Project West unit currently has around 60 employees. We see a continued growing demand and plan to expand the team with about 15 new colleagues in project management and project planning.
